3h foam provides a variety of closed-cell foam products for civil works and general construction applications. Many are available as standard product lines, but we also specialise in the manufacture of customised products for expansion joints and void fillers.

Most expansion joints and void fillers are manufactured from polyethylene (PE) foams of 25-30 kg/m3 , but higher density or harder foams can be substituted on request.
 
 

 

Custom Expansion Joint and Void Fillers

Closed-cell PE foam is commonly used for expansion joints and void fillers due to its light weight, moisture resistance and durability. Physical specifications can be downloaded here.

Expansion joint fillers (standard specifications)

Expansion joint rolls and logs are provided in commonly used dimensions, either zipped or un-zipped, with or without adhesive backing.

Standard expansion joints:

  • Thickness (10mm, 15mm, 20 mm)

  • Zipped or unzipped

  • No adhesive or adhesive backed

 
 

 

Pipe Lagging

Generally 10mm thickness foam collar placed around plumbing or other slab penetrations for protection.

Available in a range of standard widths: 50mm, 75mm 100mm 150mm, 200mm.

Flooring Underlay

Flooring underlay is a 33kg/m3 density 2.5 mm thickness fire-retarded PE/EVA blend foam designed for floating flooring underlay.

Rolls are 1m X 25 m.

This foam is also used for upholstery and automotive applications.
 
 
 

Insulation Proshield ® Foil Laminate Foam

10mm standard thickness foil laminated closed-cell foam designed for ducting insulation and other insulation and condensation prevention applications.

Roof Infills

20mm thickness roof infills are available for all common roofing profiles – Corrogated, Trimdeck, Spandeck, Solarspan, Greca.
